THE POST AND ITS SHORTSIGHTEDNESS

The Post newspaper and its Managing Editor, His Holiness Fred Mmembe, have been caught up in a web of lies with their machinations being exposed.

It has always been said that "you can fool some people sometime, but you cannot fool all the people all the time".

On July 11, 2002, the late President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa , in a special address to Parliament asked the National Assembly to strip his predecessorFrederick Justin Titus Chiluba of immunity so as to prosecute him on alleged corruption and fraud charges.

It should remembered that the "crusade against corruption" was initiated as result of a series of articles published by The Post on what it termed the ZAMTROP MATRIX.

The prosecution of the cases has lasted close to eight years with very little results, apart from enriching the Nchito Brothers who also happen to be Fred Mmembe's business partners in the cash strap Zambian Airways which owes over US $ 1.9 million the National Airport Corporation Limited in unpaid landing and other service charges.

In their bid to save their airline, the Nchito Brothers and their partner,His Holiness Fred Mmembe, recentlty embarked on a political campaign aimed at promoting Ng'andu Magande,Minister of Finance, as presidential candidate at the forthcoming October 30, 2008 presidential by-election following the untimely demise of President Levy Patrick Mwanawasa who succumbed to a stroke in a Paris Hospital on August 19, 2008.

Their strategy was to campaign for Ngandu Magande so that the latter could protect their business interests ,once elected president.

However, their evil machinations have been foiled following the loss of Magande to Rupiah Banda who is likely to scoop the forthcoming presidential by-election. This scenario has sent shivers down the spines of The Post & MNB who fear reprisals from RB should he take office.

The Post newspaper has been very critical of RB to the point of calling him Judas Iscariot simply because he did not give in to their insults and efforts to discredit him in the eyes of the MMD NEC, which despite sacarstic editorials and adverse news articles on RB, opted to vote for the latter and chose him as their prefered candidate as opposed to Magande who in the opinion of MMD stalwarts is a novice and inexperienced politician.

October 30, 2008 is fast approaching and the Nchito Brothers and His Holiness Fred Mmembe should brace themselves for tougher times as the Zambian readers have matured and have come to realise that Fred Mmembe and his cohorts had and still have a hidden agenda to disrupt the peaceful environment that prevails in Zambia in order to enrich themselves at the expense of the Zambian people.

In the meantime, let us wait and see and let the people speak at the polling stations. After all, the Romans said it so well : "VOX POPULI,VOX DEI"

Mwanamulume a dit…

I would like to seize the opportunity to congratulate for your boldness of proclaiming FJT's innocence. The man has been a victim of his own kindness. By choosing LPM to succeed him, FJT made a monumental error which he has and will leave to regret. He thought he was rearing a cat, yet he little did he know that he was rearing a leopard cub which never hesitated to grievously injure its master before the latter realised his irreversible mistake.
LPM will be remembered by the likes of us as a very hateful, vengeful and ungrateful individual who rode on his predecessor's foundation to claim credit for things he did not achieve.
His fight against corruption was nothing but a conspiracy to destroy FJT and destroy the Zambian Intelligence by divulging their covert operations.
History will judge us very harshly for our docile and passive nature.
